We’ve been very fortunate that several elite-level curlers have taken time out of their busy work and competition schedules to volunteer at the local schools and enhance the experience for the students.

Over the past few years, the Capital One Rocks & Rings program has been expanding. We’ve been encouraging local clubs to take advantage of our Adopt a School program. The Meaford Curling Club worked with their local schools to get students from the gym to the curling ice, and here is their story.

 
Capital One Rocks & Rings: All in the family

The Capital One Rocks & Rings program recently spent three days at Lester B. Pearson School in Aurora, Ontario. For one student – the only curler in the school – this was a chance to spread the word about the game he loved and hopefully recruit some friends to form a school curling team.
