The first Season of Champions event of the year marked a disappointing start for the reigning Team Canada as the Amber Holland crew finished out of the playoffs at the 2011 Capital One Canada Cup of Curling last week in Cranbrook.
The 2011 Saskatchewan Scotties Tournament of Hearts final came down to a matchup between Amber Holland and Stefanie Lawton… of course, it was Holland who moved on to the national women’s championship in Charlottetown.
This is one to remember . . . down the road at the Scotties Tournament Of Hearts. It’ll be a trivia question soon enough: Name the first provincial champion ever to win a bronze-medal playoff match at the Scotties.
