In the battle of Grey Cup competing provinces, Manitoba claimed early bragging rights with a 6-4 win over British Columbia in the first draw of The Dominion Curling Club Championship at the Richmond Curling Club.

Like so many in our sport, I come from a “curling family”. A fellowship of many, we have these indelible memories – of hours at the curling club waiting behind the glass for parents to finish their (10 end!) curling game.

You have got this great idea that you want to create a Little Rock program at your curling club. Not just a one-time fun spiel involving the kids and their families, but a full fledged 20 week program to encourage in curling the 6 years of age and up sector of our community.

 

Last week, I mentioned many clubs were not producing their own web pages or establishing a Facebook presence. I will re-state that it is extra work for a volunteer group already a tad overworked, however, this is no longer a fad but an application that has woven itself into our everyday lives.
