A sure sign of an upcoming national men’s curling championship is sightings of a big loveable bear roaming around your hometown.
In a province so abundant in agricultural resources, there’s nothing quite as disturbing as the mere mention of the word “drought”. Saskatchewan is almost as serious about its curling… and when it comes to Brier championships, the dreaded word has been hanging in the air for the past three decades.
The Paint the Town committee for the 2012 Tim Hortons Brier was on the scene at the Saskatoon Market Mall November 10th, ringing in the spirit of the season.
Saskatoon is getting ready to host the 2012 Tim Hortons Brier, March 3 – 11 in Credit Union Centre, marking the sixth time the city has welcomed the Canadian men’s curling championship. But this year “5” may be the lucky number for fans.
The Willows Golf and Country Club was the setting for the 2012 Tim Hortons Brier Sponsor Workshop October 19th, and an enthusiastic group was on hand for a briefing on one of curling’s premiere events.
