Undefeated teams keep momentum rolling

Undefeated teams Mike McEwen and Stefanie Lawton won in extra ends to keep the momentum rolling on the second day of round robin play at the 2012 Capital One Canada Cup of Curling in Moose Jaw.

 
Lawton Notches Another Win

After a big 10-4 win this morning over Sherry Middaugh, Stefanie Lawton notched another one against 2012 Scotties Tournament of Hearts winner Heather Nedohin. Tied 1-1 after four ends, Lawton applied the pressure in five.  Nedohin came up short on her draw on the last rock of the end, and Lawton scored 4 to take a 5-1 lead into the break – and give the hometown Saskatchewan fans something to cheer about.

 
Epic start for Epping in Moose Jaw

Ontario’s John Epping came out swinging against last year’s champion in Draw One of the 2012 Capital One Canada Cup of Curling which began this morning with eight teams in action.

 
Team Webster Fired Up for Sophomore Year

Crystal Webster made a dramatic change to her lineup prior to the outset of the 2011-2012 curling campaign and it was one that came very close to a major breakthrough on the national scene.

 
Lucky Seven Compete for Berth in Curling Trials

Last season’s top seven women’s teams have qualified for the right to play for the championship title at the 2012 Capital One Canada Cup of Curling November 28-December 2 in Moose Jaw.
