Talk about a rally. Alberta’s Jocelyn Peterman of Red Deer, who entered Draw 10 Tuesday morning at the M&M Meat Shops Canadian Junior Curling Championships with an unblemished 5-0 mark, stared down almost certain defeat before rebounding to defeat Newfoundland/Labrador, 10-9 in an extra end.
There were some changes to the leaderboard Monday night at the M&M Meat Shops Canadian Junior Curling Championships in Napanee.
Alberta, skipped by Brendan Bottcher, has sole possession of first place at the M&M Meat Shops Canadian Junior Men’s Curling Championship after demolishing Northern Ontario, 10-3 in Draw 8 Monday afternoon in Napanee.
While the undefeated Alberta and Quebec men and Alberta women enjoyed a Monday morning bye at the M&M Meat Shops Canadian Junior Curling Championships in Napanee, the Nova Scotia teams closed some ground on the leaders in Draw 7.
Quebec, skipped by 17-year-old Félix Asselin of Montreal, has climbed into a share of the lead with Alberta’s 20-year-old Brendan Bottcher, both now at 3-0, through five draws of the M&M Meat Shops Canadian Junior Curling Championships in Napanee.
