You also want to entice some non-curlers to check out the action at your club and maybe give curling a try. Great! You’re all set – but what’s the best way to spread the news?
Curlers and curling fans across the country are gearing up for another Season of Champions and now you can join in – on Facebook.
In addition to the Canadian Curling Association’s Official Facebook Page, we’ve launched dedicated Facebook Pages for each of our championship events. Now you can get involved in the discussion, find out who’s along for the ride, and see where the local promotions teams are popping up across the country.
The promotions team for the 2012 Scotties Tournament of Hearts will be on the scene at community events across Central Alberta in upcoming months – meeting with fans and handing out Scotties products and a host of event materials.
Last week, I mentioned many clubs were not producing their own web pages or establishing a Facebook presence. I will re-state that it is extra work for a volunteer group already a tad overworked, however, this is no longer a fad but an application that has woven itself into our everyday lives.
