Carey gets first win; Howard finds form

Chelsea Carey and her team of Kristy McDonald, Kristen Foster and Lindsay Titheridge are feeling a little less pressure tonight after notching their first win of the 2012 Capital One Canada Cup, a 7-4 victory over Cathy Overton-Clapham.

 
Stoughton, McEwen and Lawton lead the way

Jeff Stoughton kept his undefeated record alive with a decisive 10-4 win over a struggling Kevin Martin, joining Mike McEwen at the top of the leaderboard after five draws at the 2012 Capital One Canada Cup of Curling.

 
Undefeated teams keep momentum rolling

Undefeated teams Mike McEwen and Stefanie Lawton won in extra ends to keep the momentum rolling on the second day of round robin play at the 2012 Capital One Canada Cup of Curling in Moose Jaw.

 
Only four teams remain undefeated after Day 1

The standings are beginning to take shape after Draw 3 of the 2012 Capital One Canada Cup, with four teams – Jones, Lawton, Stoughton and McEwen – remaining undefeated, and four – Howard, Gushue, Carey and Overton-Clapham – still looking for their first win.

 
Lawton Notches Another Win

After a big 10-4 win this morning over Sherry Middaugh, Stefanie Lawton notched another one against 2012 Scotties Tournament of Hearts winner Heather Nedohin. Tied 1-1 after four ends, Lawton applied the pressure in five.  Nedohin came up short on her draw on the last rock of the end, and Lawton scored 4 to take a 5-1 lead into the break – and give the hometown Saskatchewan fans something to cheer about.
