Manitoba (Shannon Birchard of Winnipeg) and Alberta (Brendan Bottcher of Edmonton) are one win away from clinching first place and berths into their respective finals at the M&M Meat Shops Canadian Junior Curling Championships in Napanee.
They were the front-runners from the get-go at the M&M Meat Shops Canadian Junior Curling Championships, until they lost their first game on Tuesday night to another hot squad, Manitoba, 9-5 in an extra end.
