People always tell me things happen for a reason. And when my playing career ended I didn’t know which direction I would be going. Now, there is absolutely no question.
It’s an amazing experience as a curling fan to see a young athlete turn around and say “How was that Coach?” and the person answering is a current high performance curler in our country. That was our reality this past weekend at our La Releve Camp in Edmonton.
In April, about a month after the Olympic/Paralympic Games, Olympic and Paralympic athletes and coaches were invited to Ottawa to be recognized for their successes in Parliament and to celebrate with each other in Montreal at a parade and Gala! It was a terrific end to a great year in curling!
