As the Scotties winds down, it’s almost time for everyone to make the journey back home. Some folks have farther to go than others, but everyone agrees it has been an amazing week!
All week, TSN has been working behind the scenes to provide curling coverage for fans to enjoy from the comfort of their homes. Producer Scott Higgins commands a crew of over forty people including audio technicians, cameramen, floor managers, graphic operators, television assistants, engineers, directors and other producers.
In between draws and after the curling is finished for the day, the action moves to the HeartStop Lounge! The lounge provides food and beverage service to fans, as well as nightly entertainment from the event’s start to finish.
Row upon row of laptops and television screens, taking up prime real estate at the home end of the ice, the media bench is hard to miss. This bench is home to those behind the scenes people who make sure the game is played fairly, and that everyone at home can follow along.
The Scotties Tournament of Hearts, or any other major curling event, wouldn’t be a success if it weren’t for the fans that come out to support the sport.
