As the curling season approaches, new curlers are being introduced to the game at clubs across the county. On Tuesday morning, The Ottawa Curling Club hosted a special Learn-to-Curl session: under the watchful eye of OCC Curling Professional Earle Morris, The Honourable Bal Gosal, Minister of State (Sport), took to the ice, joined by local high-performance curlers Craig Savill, Rachel Homan, Alison Kreviazuk, Emma Miskew and Lisa Weagle.
Over the past few years, the Capital One Rocks & Rings program has been going into schools across Canada, teaching thousands of kids about the great Olympic Sport curling. What you might not realize is that this isn’t the only place you’ll find us!
While idle Canada remained undefeated at the Ford World Men’s Curling Championship Wednesday night, most of the possible threats to a Canadian victory stumbled at the Brandt Centre.
