Competitive curling gets down to serious business in Atlantic Canada at the end of the month with the start of playdowns to fill out the field for the 2013 Tim Hortons Brier, March 2-10 in Edmonton’s Rexall Place.
It was a clear case of the rich getting richer at the Tim Hortons Brier on Wednesday afternoon. Ontario’s Glenn Howard went top-of-the-table with an 8-1 record, turning a close contest against P.E.I. into a runaway 10-5 win.
An Alberta clipper continues to roll through the Credit Union Centre in Saskatoon at the Tim Hortons Brier, Canadian Men’s Curling Championship. Kevin Koe not only jumped his record to 4-0 on Monday afternoon, he did it in short order, beating Mike Gaudet’s P.E.I. crew 8-2 in eight ends.
