The 2014 Canadian Senior Men’s and Women’s Curling Championships officially get underway Saturday in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories — the first time the city and the territory have hosted a national curling championship.
Today is Super Bowl Sunday, but in some 48 days it will be Kick Off Thursday for the Canadian Senior Curling Championships.
The top four men’s teams from Canada’s North gathered at the Whitehorse Curling Club over the extended weekend of February 9 – 12 to determine who would earn the right to wear Territorial colours at the 2012 Tim Hortons Brier.
Kerry Galusha successfully defended her title as Territorial champion by claiming the Northwest Territories women’s play downs at the Inuvik Curling Club over the weekend of January 12-15.
