Ringing In a New Year for the Canada Cup

It’s “out with the old and in with the new” for the Capital One Canada Cup of Curling with preparations underway for the 2012 edition in Moose Jaw November 28 – December 2, 2012.

 

Marie-France Larouche and her Etchemin Curling Club team from St-Romuald is now the only undefeated quartet in women’s play at the Canada Cup, after Draw 6 concluded Thursday afternoon.

 

The $150,000 Canada Cup, presented by Richardson International, got underway Wednesday morning at the Farrell Agencies Arena in the Gallagher Centre, as 20 of the best men’s and women’s teams in the country battle for a berth in the 2009 Tim Hortons Canadian Curling Trials pool, in addition to the $25,000 pot which awaits each winner.

 

The $150,000 Canada Cup of Curling, presented by Richardson International, gets underway Wednesday in the 1,800-seat Farrell Agencies Arena at the Gallagher Centre in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.

 

Team World won two of three Mixed Doubles matches, and tied the other game, Thursday afternoon to increase its lead to 30-6 over North America at the Continental Cup, presented by Monsanto, taking place at the Edgeworth Centre.
