Team World at the World Financial Group Continental Cup, desperate for a victory following a devastating shellacking a year ago at St, Albert, AB., inched in front of the 2012 competition Thursday afternoon with a mixed doubles victory and a pair of draws.
For openers, it was all even. And it remained so following Thursday morning’s opening draw at the Woirld Financial Group Continental Cup curling competition at the Event Centre in Langley, B.C.

The matchups on Thursday and Friday for both women’s and men’s Team Games and Mixed Doubles at the World Financial Group Continental Cup in Langley, British Columbia, have been announced.

The 2012 World Financial Group Continental Cup hits the ice at the Langley Events Centre, January 12th – but the official launch comes at 9:00 p.m. January 11 for FAN Appreciation Night.

Langley and Abbotsford have already picked their pairs… on December 1st, it was New Westminster’s turn and an enthusiastic group came out to the Royal City Curling Club for the Cool Shots Club Competition.
The Cool Shots Club Competition continues in the Lower Mainland with the Abbotsford Curling Club determining four teams that will compete in the Patch, Sunday, January 15th during the 2012 World Financial Group Continental Cup of Curling.
It was 2001 when Bingyu Wang first picked up a curling stone… but it certainly didn’t take the young Chinese skip long to pick up the game.
