The Retrofitz

Canada’s lastest and greatest all-star dance band kicks off the party in The Original 16 Patch for Fan Appreciation Night (By Ticket Only) – an exclusive evening where full event pass holders have the opportunity to meet the athletes.  The 11-piece crew that’s jam-packed with some of Edmonton’s finest musicians features a kickin’ rhythm section, groovin’ horns and soulful vocals.
Souled Out

Souled Out is a group of five versatile musicians who all have previous personal success in various R&B, dance and classic rock bands.  Renowned for its danceable sounds, the band boasts a song list that covers the best of the 60’s and 70’s.  You’ll hear everything from Motown and AM pop to the funk disco tunes that keep the crowds on their feet all night long.
Clayton Bellamy

A veteran of the country music scene with a career spanning over 15 years, Clayton Bellamy is a true renaissance man.  The award-winning songwriter/musician is also a devoted family man and Motorcross racing star.  Among his many achievements are the Juno award for Best Country Recording and four top selections in the Canadian Country Music Association awards.

The three-time Canadian Country Music Association award-winner has evolved as a tour de force, sharing his passion for music in performances around the world.  As well as writing, producing and performing some of the best tunes around, the native of Claresholm, Alberta also crafts his own musical instruments.  The latest addition to his collection is the “Tank” – an upright bass created from a Chevy Astro gas tank that earned the 2010 CCMA award for Special Instrument of the Year.

Karac Hendriks brings a mixture of traditional country, new country and modern rock to every show.  The Edmonton talent has shared the stage with some of biggest names on the music scene including Gord Bamford, Aaron Pritchett, Ronnie Prophet and April Wine.  Plus, he has the knack for revving up the curling crowds, performing at the 2009 Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings and 2011 World Financial Group Continental Cup.

Five on the Side hits the stage in The Original 16 Patch with a wide repertoire of songs encompassing the country, rock and pop genres.  The band’s playlist consists of the all-time classics dating back to the 60’s and extending right through to today’s top hits.

Always entertaining and definitely unique, The Mudmen provide a highly refreshing blast of Celtic energy.  Their music has been featured on XBox and Playstation games, NBC’s television show “Black Donnellys”, WWE Wrestling, Don Cherry’s hockey videos and six music videos on MuchMusic. The band has six studio albums to its credit and has opened for world-class acts such as ZZ Top, The Guess Who, Biff Naked and Nazareth.
The Boom Chucka Boys

The Boom Chucka Boys are definitely different… and in this case, different is a very good thing. Their unique sound has been described in many ways, ranging from Hot Rod Country and Old Time Country to 50‘s Rockabilly.  With influences such as Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Dwight Yoakam and Elvis Presley, these boys are a bit of a throw back. Their sharp looking wardrobe and high energy stage show, along with an abundance of talent, has earned the group a reputation as exceptional singers, songwriters, and showmen.

Singer, songwriter, entertainer and country radio co-host, Tera Lee has dedicated her life to music.  Along the way she has opened for numerous artists including Diamond Rio,  Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Paul Brandt, Gord Bamford, Patricia Conroy and many more.  She has performed at top notch venues and festivals including the Calgary Stampede, Big Valley Jamboree, and the Ford World Men’s Curling Championship.

Since forming in 2002, Hey Romeo have grown from a hard-touring regional success to a national sensation in waiting; earning a reputation not only as one of Canada’s hardest working country acts, but as one of the hardest working bands in the country.  Hey Romeo have shared the stage with artists including Sugarland, Darius Rucker, Gord Bamford and Johnny Reid. In 2008, their self-titled debut garnered a Canadian Country Music Award for Top New Talent of the Year – Group or Duo.
