Championship curling is more than just a game.  It’s an opportunity for fans and competitors to celebrate this unique sport and interact in so many ways. Just name one other sport where you watch the best athletes in the world in the heat of competition and then talk to them one-on-one when the play is done!

The Patch is the place where everyone comes together when the draw is done.  You can kick up your heels to the sounds of some of our country’s hottest live acts… and share the tasty array of food and refreshments with the most passionate fans in the sporting world.

The Patch is in the Penticton Trade & Convention Centre right next door to the South Okanagan Events Centre. There is no need to go outside just walk through the connector where there’s plenty of room for everyone to join the party, have lunch or supper and also watch the games on the big screens.  And, for those who may have too much fun, phone numbers for taxi services will be readily available to ensure a safe ride home.

The fun starts off in the Patch Wednesday, January 9 when all the competitors come out for this exclusive meet-and-greet gathering that’s open to sponsors and fans who have purchased full event passes.	Up Close and Personal interviews give fans the chance to see competitors, team coaches and captains in a relaxing environment after the intense action on the ice.  It’s a casual discussion where the fans ask the questions… and they’re often surprised by the answers! Women Skips on Thursday at 4:30 PM Men Skips on Friday at 4:30 PM Captains/Coaches on Saturday at 4:00 PM.
Fans can meet with all the athletes once again at Team Autograph sessions on Saturday at 11:45 AM in the Patch at the Penticton Curling Club. It’s a great chance to get your favourite curlers to sign on the line, or pose for a picture.	Your event pass to the World Financial Group Continental Cup gives you the chance to play in a championship of your own.  Cool Shots is the game where fans play on shuffleboard style tables.  Sign up for free and take your best shot at the daily prize… and the chance to move to compete on championship weekend when the big cash is on the line! If you love the excitement of live championship curling, but at the same time appreciate the expert analysis of the TSN commentators… you can have it both ways! TSN coverage for all televised draws at the 2013 World Financial Group Continental Cup will be carried live on FM radio.  Just tune in to the broadcast while you enjoy the action on the ice.  Portable radios will be on sale at the event merchandise store.
