Twelve men’s and 12 women’s team will compete in the national championships, slated for March 19-26, 2011 in Digby, Nova Scotia.
Digby; located in the southwestern portion of Canada’s Ocean Playground, home of the World Famous Scallops & nominated Canada’s Most Romantic Town. The Town of Digby was settled in 1783, and named after Sir. Robert Digby. It is located overlooking the picturesque view of the Annapolis Basin which is part of the Bay of Fundy and home to the highest tides in the world. Digby’s has been an active fishing community throughout the years. Famous for the delicious scallops harvested from our local waters. The Annapolis Basin, from our waterfront, offers clear crisp air, and of course the spectacular view of the incredible tides (28 to 35 ft.) in our harbour.
