Peggy Piers of Moncton, New Brunswick, was elected to the Canadian Curling Hall of Fame at the Annual General Meeting of the CCA as a builder. In adition to her outstanding contribution to curling, Peggy Piershas also enjoyed success as a competitor. Three times she was a member of the New Brunswick mixed championship team and on one occasion skipped the New Brunswick entry in the Canadian senior ladies event.

As an administrator, Peggy has held every position at the provincial executive level and is still active as sectary of the New Brunswick Ladies Curling Association. She was instrumental in introducing curling courses on Moncton high schools, the formation of the New Brunswick Junior Development Committee and in the development of an elite camp for junior curlers.
