Toro Suzuki of Winnipeg was inducted into the Canadian Curling Hall of Fame in the curler category.

Suzuki played third along with Albert Olson who played second for the late Manitoba skip Lloyd ‘Gunner’ Gunnlaugson when his team won a record three consecutive Canadian senior men’s titles in 1982, 1983 and 1984. The team’s record during the winning streak was an impressive 30-4, capped by an undefeated 11-0 mark in 1984 in St. John’s, Newfoundland.
