Biography / Biographie:

Muriel Youngson joined the Caledonian Ladies Curling Club in 1931.  In both 1943 and 1945, she won the Grand Aggregate in the Regina Ladies Bonspiel.

Youngson was elected president of the Caledonian Ladies Curling Club in 1945, 1946, and 1947, and took an active part in the formation of the Saskatchewan Ladies Curling Association (SLCA) in 1947/48. She served as an executive council and was elected president of the SLCA in 1959.

Muriel was an executive member and the 1960 president of the Western Canada Ladies Curling Association.  As western president, she was part of the committee that established the format for the Canadian Ladies Curling Association (CLCA).  In 1961, she served as vice president of the CLCA and she held the position of president in 1962.
