PROMOTION PERIOD: The Sweepstakes begins at 9:00 am ET on November 28, 2012 and ends at 11:59pm ET on April 7, 2013.

HOW TO ENTER: Enter the Sweepstakes by going to the Contest page on the Canadian Curling Association’s “My Curling Rewards” website (http://www.mycurlingrewards.ca) during the promotion period and completing the My Curling Rewards Sign-up form. Additional entries may be obtained throughout the promotion period via the Canadian Curling Association’s website, Facebook Pages, and print materials.

ELIGIBILITY: The Sweepstakes are open only to Canadian residents, excluding Quebec. Employees, contractors, directors, and officers of the Canadian Curling Association, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated companies, distributors, suppliers, advertising, fulfillment, judging, and promotion agencies, and their immediate family members (parent, child, sibling, and spouse of each) and those living in their same households are ineligible.

Sweepstakes may only be entered from and in eligible jurisdictions. In the event of a dispute about the identity of an entrant, each entry will be declared made by the registered account holder of the email account from which the entry was generated. With respect to any winning entry, the winner may be required to provide the Canadian Curling Association with proof that the person is the registered account holder of the email account associated with the winning entry. By entering the Sweepstakes, entrants agree to comply with and be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the judges, which are final and binding in all respects. Failure to comply with these Official Rules may result in disqualification from the Sweepstakes.

PRIZES:

  • Prize #1:  VIP Curling Experience for four (4) to the 2014 WFG Continental Cup of Curling in Las Vegas, Nevada. Approximate retail value is CDN $4,000.00 (“Prize #1”). Actual value may vary depending on winner’s location.
  • Prize #2:  VIP Curling Experience for four (4) to the 2014 WFG Continental Cup of Curling in Las Vegas, Nevada. Approximate retail value is CDN $4,000.00 (“Prize #2”). Actual value may vary depending on winner’s location.
  • Prize #3:  VIP Curling Experience for four (4) to the 2014 WFG Continental Cup of Curling in Las Vegas, Nevada. Approximate retail value is CDN $4,000.00 (“Prize #3”). Actual value may vary depending on winner’s location.

  • Prize #5:  $2,000.00 Air Canada Vacations Gift Certificate. Approximate retail value is CDN $2,000.00 (“Prize #5”).
  • Prize #6:  $2,000.00 Air Canada Vacations Gift Certificate. Approximate retail value is CDN $2,000.00 (“Prize #6”).

Prizes #1, 2, 3 and 4 (VIP Curling Experience) include:

  • Round trip coach airfare for four (4) people from the major airport nearest the winner’s residence (as determined by the Canadian Curling Association) to the major airport nearest Las Vegas, Nevada;
  • Ground transporation;
  • Four (4) nights standard hotel accommodations at the Orleans Casino and Hotel (double room/double occupancy);
  • Four (4) Full Event Ticket Packages for the 2014 WFG Continental Cup.

PRIZE SUBSTITUTION:

All prizes (or portions thereof) are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, non-refundable, have no cash surrender value and must be accepted as awarded with no substitutions. Any applicable taxes on the prizes are the sole responsibility of the winners. The Canadian Curling Association reserves the right to substitute any Prize or Prize portion with a prize of equal or greater value should any prize not be available or for any other reason.

WINNER CONDITIONS:

In order to be eligible to win a prize, all selected entrants must first have complied with these Official Rules and Regulations and correctly answered, unaided, a time-limited skill-testing question to be administered over the telephone by the Canadian Curling Association at a prearranged mutually convenient time.

WINNERS AND PRIZE NOTIFICATION:

All winners will be determined by the Canadian Curling Association and in accordance with these Official Rules and Regulations.

Prize Period Winners:

Prize Periods (all times EST):

(1) November 28th, 2012 at 9:00:00 a.m. to December 31st, 2012 at 11:59:59 p.m. (“Prize Period 1”)

The following prize will be determined on January 1st, 2013 at approximately 12:00:00 pm EST:

  • One (1) winner will be picked via a random draw from among all eligible entries received up to the end of Prize Period 1.
  • The winner in Prize Period 1 will have the opportunity to choose one (1) prize from the Prizes #1 – #6 above.

The winner in Prize Period 1 is not eligible to win in any subsequent Prize Periods.

(2) November 28th, 2012 at 9:00:00 a.m. to January 31st, 2013 at 11:59:59 p.m. (“Prize Period 2”)

The following prize will be determined on February 1st, 2013 at approximately 12:00:00 pm EST:

  • One (1) winner will be picked via a random draw from among all eligible entries received up to the end of Prize Period 2.
  • The winner in Prize Period 2 will have the opportunity to choose one (1) prize from the Prizes #1 – #6 above, excluding the prize selected and awarded in the previous Prize Period.

The winner in Prize Period 2 is not eligible to win in any subsequent Prize Periods.

(3) November 28th, 2012 at 9:00:00 a.m. to February 28th, 2013 at 11:59:59 p.m. (“Prize Period 3”)

The following prize will be determined on March 1st, 2013 at approximately 12:00:00 pm EST:

  • One (1) winner will be picked via a random draw from among all eligible entries received up to the end of Prize Period 3.
  • The winner in Prize Period 3 will have the opportunity to choose one (1) prize from the Prizes #1 – #6 above, excluding the prizes selected and awarded in previous Prize Periods.

The winner in Prize Period 3 is not eligible to win in any subsequent Prize Periods.

(4) November 28th, 2012 at 9:00:00 a.m. to March 15th, 2013 at 11:59:59 p.m. (“Prize Period 4”)

The following prize will be determined on March 16th, 2013 at approximately 12:00:00 pm EST:

  • One (1) winner will be picked via a random draw from among all eligible entries received up to the end of Prize Period 4.
  • The winner in Prize Period 4 will have the opportunity to choose one (1) prize from the Prizes #1 – #6 above, excluding the prizes selected and awarded in previous Prize Periods.

The winner in Prize Period 4 is not eligible to win in any subsequent Prize Periods.

(5) November 28th, 2012 at 9:00:00 a.m. to March 31st, 2013 at 11:59:59 p.m. (“Prize Period 5”)

The following prize will be determined on April 1st, 2013 at approximately 12:00:00 pm EST:

  • One (1) winner will be picked via a random draw from among all eligible entries received up to the end of Prize Period 5.
  • The winner in Prize Period 5 will have the opportunity to choose one (1) prize from the Prizes #1 – #6 above, excluding the prizes selected and awarded in previous Prize Periods.

The winner in Prize Period 5 is not eligible to win in any subsequent Prize Periods.

(5) November 28th, 2012 at 9:00:00 a.m. to April 7th, 2013 at 11:59:59 p.m. (“Prize Period 5”)

The following prize will be determined on April 8th, 2013 at approximately 12:00:00 pm EST:

  • One (1) winner will be picked via a random draw from among all eligible entries received up to the end of Prize Period 6.
  • The winner in Prize Period 6 will be awarded the prize remaining from Prize #1 – #6, not selected by prize winners of previous Prize Periods.

All random draws will be conducted by the Canadian Curling Association in Orleans, Ontario. All eligible winners will be contacted by email within five (5) days of the respective prize draw date. By completing the online entry form, an entrant agrees to be notified that he/she is a potential prize winner by the email address provided. If a selected entrant cannot be contacted within ten (10) days of the first attempt to contact or, if contacted, does not claim his or her prize on or before such date and time, or does not meet all of the contest conditions, another entry may be selected from among all remaining eligible entries from which the original potential winner was drawn.

Odds of winning prizes are solely dependent on the total number of eligible entries received during the corresponding Prize Period.

USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION:

By completing and submitting the information requested for participation in the contest, entrant consents to the collection, use, and disclosure of his/her personal information by the Canadian Curling Association and their agents and representatives for the purposes of (i) their internal use to facilitate administration of the contest, and (ii) if an entrant has so elected, to allow Canadian Curling Association to provide the entrant with information on it’s products, services or benefits. An entrant also agrees that the Canadian Curling Association shall become the owner of all submitted data and the entrant shall not acquire any intellectual property right or other proprietary rights in or to the submitted data, and the entrant warrants and represents that he/she owns or otherwise controls all of the rights prior to submitting the data, including without limitation all the rights necessary for the entrant to provide, post, input, or submit his/her submitted data. The collection, use and/or disclosure of any personal information an entrant provides are subject to Canadian Curling Association’s Privacy Policy, which is set out at:

GENERAL CONDITIONS:

All Federal, Provincial and municipal laws and regulations apply. By entering the contest, each entrant agrees: (a) to these Official Rules and Regulations and decisions of the Canadian Curling Association, which are final and binding in all matters relating to this contest, and (b) to release and hold harmless the Canadian Curling Association and their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, representatives and all others entities associated with the development, execution and administration of this contest, and each of their respective directors, officers, employees and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability whatsoever from injury, loss or damage of any kind resulting from participation in this contest and/or from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize.

Released Parties are not responsible for any late, lost, delayed, stolen, misdirected, unreadable, incorrect, inaccurate, garbled, or unintelligible communications, including without limitation, entry information, regardless of the method of transmission, including the failure to send a prize notification email and/or shipping of prize to the prize winner; whether caused by Web site users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the contest, and the Released Parties assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, or delay in operation or transmission at any Web site related to the contest, or for communications line failure, or for theft or destruction, tampering, or unauthorized access to entries and/or entry information; or for printing, human, typographical or other errors in any contest material or the administration of this contest; or for any computer, software, Internet Web site or electronic defect, error or failure regardless of reason.

The Canadian Curling Association reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the operation of the contest or any Web site related to the contest; to be acting in violation of the Official Rules and Regulations; or to be acting in a disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any person participating in or connected with the contest. Any attempt by any participant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different identities, or any other methods will void that participant’s entry and that participant may be disqualified. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification.

In the event of a dispute as to entries submitted by multiple users having the same e-mail account, the authorized subscriber of the e-mail account used to enter the contest at the actual time of registration will be deemed to be the participant and must comply with these Official Rules and Regulations; the unauthorized subscriber(s) will be disqualified. Authorized account subscriber is deemed to be the natural person who is assigned an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization, which is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Potential winner may be required to provide the Canadian Curling Association with proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the potential winning entry.

TERMINATION/MODIFICATION:

If, for any reason, the contest cannot be completed as planned by infection of computer viruses, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure or other cause that is beyond the control of the Canadian Curling Association that could corrupt or affect the administration, security, impartiality or normal course of the contest, the Canadian Curling Association reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the contest, in whole or in part, by posting a notice at MyCurling.ca.

CONSTRUCTION: This contest and its Official Rules and Regulations shall be governed by and construed under the law of the Province of Ontario, without regard to conflicts of laws principles, and all entrants expressly agree that the Ontario courts shall have sole jurisdiction over any dispute or litigation arising from or relating to this contest and agree to submit to the laws of and the jurisdiction of the federal courts and provincial courts of the Province of Ontario, and hereby waive the jurisdiction of any other court that now or in the future could be considered competent for any reason. The venue shall only be Toronto, Ontario.
