SEASON OF CHAMPIONS SURVEY CONTEST

OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.

THIS CONTEST IS SUBJECT TO ALL FEDERAL, PROVINCIAL AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

Contest starts on August 25, 2016, at 11:00.00 a.m. EDT and ends on September 10, 2016, at 11:59:59 p.m. EDT (the “Contest Period”).

TO ENTER: No purchase necessary.

Successfully complete the “Season of Champions Event Survey” and indicate your desire to enter the contest by checking the provided box at the bottom of the survey and providing your email address in the space provided at the end of the survey.

ELIGIBILITY:

This contest is open only to legal residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in the province or territory in which they reside at the time of contest entry. Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.

Employees of Curling Canada and their affiliated companies and advertising agencies, representatives, and entities involved in the implementation and production of the contest, as well as their immediate families (spouses, parents, siblings, and children) and persons who reside in the same household are not eligible to enter the contest.

PRIZE:

One (1) Grand Prize to be awarded in Canada consisting of two Full Event Ticket Packages to your choice of one 2016/2017 Season of Champions event including the 2016 Home Hardware Canada Cup (Brandon, MB), 2017 Scotties Tournament of Hearts (St. Catharines, ON), 2017 Tim Hortons Brier (St. John’s, NL) or 2017 Ford World Men’s Curling Championship (Edmonton, AB). Full Event Ticket Package consists of one ticket to each draw for the selected event.

The Grand Prize is estimated to be valued at up to CDN$998.00.

PRIZE SUBSTITUTION:

All prizes (or portions thereof) are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, non-refundable, have no cash surrender value, and must be accepted as awarded with no substitutions.  Any applicable taxes on the prizes are the sole responsibility of the winners.

WINNER CONDITIONS:

In order to be eligible to win a prize, all selected entrants must first have complied with these Official Rules and Regulations and correctly answered, unaided, a time-limited skill-testing question to be administered by Curling Canada over email.

WINNER AND PRIZE NOTIFICATION:

All winners will be determined by Curling Canada in accordance with these Official Rules and Regulations.

USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION:

By completing and submitting the information requested for participation in this contest, entrant consents to the collection, use, and disclosure of their personal information by Curling Canada and their agents and representatives for the purposes of (i) their internal use to facilitate administration of the contest, and (ii) if an entrant has so elected, to allow Curling Canada to provide the entrant with information on its products, services, or benefits. An entrant also agrees that the Curling Canada shall become the owner of all submitted data and the entrant shall not acquire any intellectual property right or other proprietary rights in or to the submitted data, and the entrant warrants and represents that they own or otherwise control all of the rights prior to submitting the data, including without limitation all the rights necessary for the entrant to provide, post, input, or submit their submitted data. The collection, use, and/or disclosure of any personal information an entrant provides are subject to Curling Canada.

Curling Canada reserves the right to disclose the name, language preference, and other information provided by entrants in response to this contest and deemed relevant by Curling Canada.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:

All Federal, Provincial and municipal laws and regulations apply. By entering the contest, each entrant agrees: (a) to these Official Rules and Regulations and decisions of Curling Canada, which are final and binding in all matters relating to this contest, and (b) to release and hold harmless Curling Canada, Clark Stanley and their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, representatives and all others entities associated with the development, execution and administration of this contest, and each of their respective directors, officers, employees and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability whatsoever from injury, loss or damage of any kind resulting from participation in this contest and/or from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize.

Released Parties are not responsible for any late, lost, delayed, stolen, misdirected, unreadable, incorrect, inaccurate, garbled, or unintelligible communications, including without limitation, entry information, regardless of the method of transmission, including the failure to send a prize notification email and/or shipping of prize to the prize winner; whether caused by website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the contest, and the Released Parties assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, or delay in operation or transmission at any website related to the contest, or for communications line failure, or for theft or destruction, tampering, or unauthorized access to entries and/or entry information; or for printing, human, typographical or other errors in any contest material or the administration of this contest; or for any computer, software, Internet website or electronic defect, error or failure regardless of reason.

Curling Canada reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the operation of the contest or any website related to the contest; to be acting in violation of the Official Rules and Regulations; or to be acting in a disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any person participating in or connected with the contest. Any attempt by any participant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different identities, or any other methods will void that participant’s entry and that participant may be disqualified. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification.

In the event of a dispute as to entries submitted by multiple users having the same email account, the authorized subscriber of the email account used to enter the contest at the actual time of registration will be deemed to be the participant and must comply with these Official Rules and Regulations; the unauthorized subscriber(s) will be disqualified. Authorized account subscriber is deemed to be the natural person who is assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization, which is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. Potential winner may be required to provide Curling Canada proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the potential winning entry.

TERMINATION/MODIFICATION:

If, for any reason, the contest cannot be completed as planned by infection of computer viruses, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure or other cause that is beyond the control of Curling Canada that could corrupt or affect the administration, security, impartiality or normal course of the contest, Curling Canada reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the contest, in whole or in part, by posting a notice at Curling.ca and/or an update of its Facebook page.

CONSTRUCTION:

This contest and its Official Rules and Regulations shall be governed by and construed under the law of the Province of Ontario, without regard to conflicts of laws principles, and all entrants expressly agree that the Ontario courts shall have sole jurisdiction over any dispute or litigation arising from or relating to this contest and agree to submit to the laws of and the jurisdiction of the federal courts and provincial courts of the Province of Ontario, and hereby waive the jurisdiction of any other court that now or in the future could be considered competent for any reason. The venue shall only be Toronto, Ontario.
