Travel Policy to Curling Canada Events

Team Travel Policy for the Mixed, Juniors, Seniors, and Wheelchair national championships (effective December 1, 2017)

MIXED
travel four (4) athletes

U21
travel four (4) athletes + one (1) coach for the men’s event & four (4) athletes + one (1) coach for the women’s event

U18
travel four (4) athletes + one (1) coach for the men’s event & four (4) athletes + one (1) coach for the women’s event

CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS
travel four (4) athletes for the men’s event & four (4) athletes for the women’s event

SENIORS
travel four (4) athletes for the men’s event & four (4) athletes for the women’s event

WHEELCHAIR
Travel four (4) athletes + one (1) coach

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Curling Canada will manage the bookings via their travel agent(s) and Curling Canada will be responsible for full payment. Without exception, all travel will be pre-approved by Curling Canada.

ACCOMMODATION
Two (2) rooms for the Mixed (67% of the cost)
Two (2) rooms for the Seniors (per gender) (67% of the cost)
Teams will book and pay for their own rooms and then will submit their hotel invoices for re-imbursement after the event. We will reimburse any team within one week of receiving the invoice.

Two (2) rooms for the Club Championships (per gender)

$1,000 per team for wheelchair

U18 – team responsibility

U21 – team responsibility

STAY-TO-PLAY:

This accommodation subsidy is based on a Stay-To-Play policy which means teams are eligible for the 67% refund only if they stay in the Curling Canada designated Host Hotel. Curling Canada will make best efforts to book at a minimum, 3-star+ hotels with appropriate amenities and reasonable prices.
