Lawton first won the event in 2008 and a repeat performance this year would earn her the distinction of being the first woman to skip teams to Canada Cup honors on three separate occasions.  But it will be no easy task in a field many consider to be the strongest curling fans will see all season. The top 14 teams in the country – seven men’s and seven women’s – will be vying for the right to hoist the Canada Cup of Curling in Cranbrook with the added reward of direct entry to the 2013 Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings… the first step in the run for the 2014 Olympic Games. Lawton will again have the support of Sherri Singler and Marliese Kasner on the front end… and veteran Sherry Anderson is back for a second year at third, adding a wealth of poise and experience to the lineup with a list of accomplishments that includes four trips to the Scotties skipping the Saskatchewan entry. “You Gotta Be There” for the launch of an exciting new Season of Champions in Cranbrook.   You can get your tickets now by clicking here.
