Only Ten More Shopping Days for the Scotties

With Christmas just around the corner, the Scotties crew spent the past weekend at the Parkland Mall promoting the Rocks in Your Socks ticket offer for the coming national women’s curling championship. The deadline is December 24th to purchase a pair of tickets to any one of the first 17 draws for the 2012 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, February 18 – 26 at Red Deer’s Westerner Park.  At just $39, it’s an ideal stocking stuffer – whether it’s for a seasoned curling fan or someone who’s never had the chance to experience live championship curling. Once the holidays are done, the volunteer team gets right back on the promotions circuit – with one of the main events taking place January 11th where the Scotties serves as game day sponsor for the Red Deer Rebels WHL match. Later in the month, they’ll be in the midst of the action at the Alberta playdowns, January 25 – 29 in Leduc.  Keep watching the website for the “Road to the Scotties” with ongoing updates as teams across the country qualify for the trip to Red Deer.
