“The Scotties is the most prestigious event on the Canadian women’s competitive curling scene,” commented Host Chair Ken Thompson. “We’re proud to host our very first Scotties and provide fans in the region with the chance to experience the excitement that comes with live championship curling.”
Along with prime seats to see the best curlers in the land compete for the national title, all three packages represent an all-encompassing pass that takes fans inside every facet of the championship.
It starts with an exclusive invitation to Fan Appreciation Night, the official launch of the nine-day party in the HeartStop Lounge. The athletes will be on hand to meet with the fans Friday evening before the competition gets underway.
Complimentary access to the HeartStop – where the party rocks all day, every day and late into the night – extends throughout the event. It’s the place fans, competitors, sponsors and volunteers gather to enjoy a tasty selection of food and beverages and an amazing line-up of live entertainment.
The HeartStop is also home to daily Team Autograph sessions and Up Close and Personal interviews where the athletes sit down in an informal question and answer discussion with the fans. And, for those who’d like a taste of championship action, they can sign up for free in the Cool Shots competition… the small-scale version of the roaring game played on shuffleboard-style tables with cash prizes for the winners!
Plus, every package includes the Season of Champions Rewards Card – a $25 value with benefits ranging from roadside assistance to travel savings and pharmaceutical discounts.
Full Event passes for the 2013 Scotties can be purchased online at curling.ca/tickets and at the K-Rock Centre box office.
