Ford World Men’s Sponsors Go for the Gold

The beautiful Victoria Golf Club was the setting for the 2013 Ford World Men’s Curling Championship Sponsor Workshop October 18. “The success of the championship when we hosted it in 2005 was largely due to the support of our sponsors,” noted Co-Host Chair Keith Dagg.  “We’re happy to see many of you back on board again, and we want to welcome the new sponsors who are joining us this year.  It’s going to be a tremendous experience for everyone involved!” After the official business of the day finished up everyone took part in the 2013 Ford World Sponsors Curling Championship organized by Event Manager Neil Houston.  Each competitor had two shots at the house using the Rocks and Rings game.  Points were counted for the closest rocks to the button and prizes awarded to top three shooters compliments of Atlas Audio Visual. The gold medal prize – a Sony Google TV box – was won by Terry Vander Linden representing Booster Juice, presenting sponsor for the 2013 Ford World Men’s Curling Championship. Allan Nichols of The Hotel Grand Pacific took home a Sony Blue Ray player for second place and Michael Marshall from Digital Direct Printing won Senheiser earphones for the third prize. Double Impact ticket packages are still on sale but only until October 30.  The Opener includes two tickets for the first 11 draws for $279 and the Champ features two seats for the final 11 draws at a price of $389. “You Gotta Be There” when the Ford World Men’s Curling Championship returns to Victoria, March 30-April 7 in the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre.  Get your tickets today by clicking here.
