Koe Takes Aim at Another Cup
In the history of the Canada Cup Alberta teams have clearly dominated the men’s side of the championship, winning in eight of the nine competitions. Kevin Koe is hoping to add one more for the Wild Rose province November 28-December 2 at the 2012 Capital One Canada Cup of Curling in Moose Jaw.

Koe will be shooting for a second Canada Cup presentation after a victory in 2008. The other Alberta champs are Kevin Martin who leads the way with four championships and Randy Ferbey has three titles on his career resume.
A fourth-place finish in last season’s Canadian Team Ranking System standings qualified Koe and teammates Pat Simmons, Carter Rycroft and Nolan Thiessen for the 2012 Capital One Canada Cup.
Representing his native Yukon/Northwest Territories in the 1994 Canadian Junior Men’s Curling Championship, the young skip suffered a heart-breaking defeat in the final. A move to the more competitive curling scene in Alberta resulted in a Canadian Mixed Curling Championship for his new home province in 2000.
The 2010 season marked Koe’s major breakthrough to the upper echelons of the game with a victory at the Tim Hortons Brier and the gold medal at the World Men’s Curling Championship.
