Be a part of history again- show your pride in our athletes while supporting the next generation of curlers.
T-shirt for sale to help future medallists
And Canadian curlers have a lot to be proud of.
In celebration, curling fans can buy a T-shirt through a brand new crowd-sourcing platform, Tees for the People, to share your pride and help future golden athletes.
When you purchase this limited edition T-shirt – featuring the slogan “Got Gold? We do.”
– the proceeds from every shirt sold will go directly to a new scholarship fund set up by the Canadian Curling Association to help young athletes.
University and college is expensive enough. So how do you curl and balance schoolwork, and pay for it all? Where does the extra money come from for club fees, competition and travel costs? The CCA’s new scholarship fund aims to make sure young curling athletes don’t have to make tough choices between education and curling.
But, like all crowd-sourcing platforms, we must hit the goal to receive the much-needed funds for the scholarships.
We need to sell 600 T-shirts by March 12. When that goal is met, all orders will be processed and the scholarship fund will receive the proceeds. But if sales fall short, all orders will be cancelled and we won’t be able to hand out any scholarships this coming school year.
So please: buy a shirt and then tell your friends!
The more “Got Gold?” items the CCA can sell, the more future medallists you can help. When the CCA sells 600 shirts, six young curlers, and possible future champions, will receive a scholarship to help cover their curling-related costs for a year. 1,000 shirts means ten curlers could be helped.
To purchase a T-shirt or hoodie, visit teesforthepeople.com/products/got-gold-we-do/
. Shirts cost between $17 and $24.99 and hoodies are $34.99. Items are shipped directly once the campaign is over on March 12. You will only be billed for your shirt when we hit goal.
So buy a shirt. Be a part of the celebration and help future medalists! And then tell your friends! Tweet it. Post on Facebook. Even TELL people the old fashion way!
The more shirts we can sell the more future medalists we can help!
Besides- we’ve got lots to brag about.
What is crowd-sourcing?:
Crowd-sourcing is a fundraising method that involves funding a project with small contributions from a large group of individuals, rather than seeking substantial sums from a small number of investors.
The campaign is conducted online through a dedicated crowd-sourcing site, like Teesforthepeople.com, and relies heavily on word of mouth and social media.
