Career Opportunity: Assistant Ice-Maker, Kelowna

Looking for a defensive, stay at home minded Assistant ICE-MAKER or ICE-Maker to add to a well- rounded corporation.

Recently acquired Mike Merklinger, will be directing traffic up the middle, while 40 plus year veteran Guy Mackie covers the wings. We have a strong group but need one more piece of the puzzle to put us over the top.

We are looking for a second assistant or a natural, experienced ice-maker to help with all the extra work that goes on with a club this size. Looking for an experienced player who has an interest in making ice for a living. Having an IFO (Ice facilities operator) or a RO (Refrigeration Operator) ticket would be an asset, but not mandatory. A willingness to learn however is mandatory. Strong back and legs a must, stronger than average mind and patience needed.

We are very much a team and need someone who can work inside that team. The job will included ice-making, janitorial and building maintenance work.

The Kelowna Curling Club has 12 sheets of ice and a desire to lead the pack. We are offering fair compensation, full time seasonal work (6 months) with the possibility of year-round employment.

Please send resumes by August 10, 2018
Absolutely no phone calls please. Only those that move onto the next round will be contacted
