
Figure No. 2 – Power play option placement in mixed doubles
Position A: Placement so that the stone is placed as a corner guard on either the left or right hand side of the sheet in front of or immediately behind one of three (3) points in the ice. Teams will mutually agree on the location. The points are a specific distance away from the centre line on each side of the sheet:
(i) At the mid-point between the hog line and the outermost edge of the top of the house 2.286 m. (7 feet 6 inches) and 1.07 m. (3 feet 6 inches) on either side of the centre line or;
(ii) 0.915 m. (3 feet) from the mid-point closer to the house and 1.09 m. (3 feet 7 inches) on either side of the centre line, or;
(iii) 0.915 m. (3 feet) from mid-point (i) closer to the hog line and 1.04 m. (3 feet 5 inches) from either side of the centre line.
(b) Position B: The Position B stone is placed so that the back edge of the stone is touching the tee line with half of the rock in the 12-foot circle and half of the rock in the 8-foot circle.
