Volunteers are the backbone of many large scale events and the value of these extra hands is what enables organizations to offer activities that may not otherwise happen. Their meaningful contributions behind the scenes are indispensable and their tireless efforts are often as profound as the event itself. The 2012 Scotties Tournament of Hearts brings together the curling competitor and spectator as a collective community. Volunteers invest their time, ensuring that this this year’s competition is not only successful, but memorable for all parties – from organization to participant level, attendees and everyone in between.

The 2012 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, as part of the Canadian Curling Association’s Season of Champions, will be hosted by Red Deer, AB and will welcome Canada’s top women’s curlers, alongside officials, coaches, media and families.

We thank everyone for their interest in volunteering to assist with this event. Due to the overwhelming support from the people in Red Deer and surrounding areas, we have reached our volunteer quota. We are looking forward to a great event February 2012!
