The mission of Curling Canada is to encourage and facilitate the growth and development of curling in cooperation with our network of affiliates.
Curling in Canada, from the grassroots to the highest levels of competitive play will be strong and vibrant. Curling clubs and Associations in Canada will offer a wide variety of participation opportunities for all residents of their communities. The Opportunity:
Located in Ottawa or Toronto, the Curling Canada Foundation Officer leads the philanthropic arm of the organization. This role sets the strategic direction for the foundation, implements a plan to deliver against foundation goals and ensures rigorous stewardship of donor and grant money is maintained. The foundation officer is a key management position in the organization and must work closely with all functions to ensure delivery of the foundation goals. The role requires a cooperative and participative manager who can lead a small team and can work with numerous outside stakeholders to increase the capacity and delivery of critical programs that strengthen and grow our sport and our community.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Revenue, the Foundation Officer is able to understand and contribute to building the strategic direction of the organization in addition to being a strong fund-raiser and program delivery leader.
The Fit:
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual who possesses a fundraising designation or equivalent qualifications based on relevant education and work experience as well as a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or Commerce or other related discipline. In addition, we require a minimum 5 years experience in a foundation role at a manager level, experience either as an employee or board member of a nonprofit organization and must be familiar with Canada Revenue Agency and Canada Not for Profit Act legislation.
