After four years of service, our ice technician is retiring therefore we have a position available starting September 2016, at the Campbell River Curling Club in Campbell River, British Columbia. Applicant preferred to have several years of experience and level 2 certification. Job scope to include ice installation, care and maintenance throughout the season and year end removal along with some facilities care duties. Season normally runs from first week of September to end of the following March.
Competitive wage scale based on experience.
Curling facility is a four sheet sand base rink hosting 21 draws per week plus weekend rentals and bonspiels with a dynamic, active membership and staff.
Campbell River, located halfway up Vancouver Islands east coast is an active growing community of 32,000 people offering many opportunities including outdoor activities. Nearby Strathcona Park is known for hiking and fishing, Mount Washington for skiing and the nearby ocean for great boating and fishing. Excellent Medical, Commercial and Educational facilities are part of the community.
