History will be made at the 2027 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, it was announced today by Curling Canada.
The 46th edition of the Scotties Tournament of Hearts will take place Feb. 12-21 at the Eastlink Centre in Charlottetown, which will be a record fifth time the city has played host to the Canadian Women’s Curling Championship.
Currently, Charlottetown, Regina and Calgary have all hosted on four occasions.
“Charlottetown’s rich history of hosting Canada’s best women’s curling teams and delivering world-class events was front of mind throughout this process. The excitement the city, province and curling community showed in the quality of their bid played a significant role in our decision,” said Nolan Thiessen, Chief Executive Officer of Curling Canada. “This will be the first Scotties Tournament of Hearts in the next Olympic quadrennial and it will be exciting to see new lineups starting their journeys together.”
Charlottetown last hosted the Scotties in 2011 when Saskatchewan’s Team Amber Holland claimed gold. The Eastlink Centre also hosted the Scotties in 1999, with Nova Scotia’s Team Colleen Jones coming out on top.
The Charlottetown Forum played host to the 1984 Scotties, when Manitoba’s Team Connie Laliberte prevailed, and in 1973 at the Charlottetown Curling Club, it was Saskatchewan’s Team Vera Pezer winning the title.
“This is an exciting day for curling fans in Charlottetown, in the Maritimes and across the country. Our city shows up for live curling in a big way and we are thrilled to have secured the hosting rights for the Scotties for a record fifth time,” said Mayor Philip Brown. “Not only will this tournament bring a welcome economic boost in the winter months, but it’s also sure to inspire the next generation of young athletes as they watch the best female curlers in the country compete at the 2027 Scotties in Charlottetown.”

It will be the 46th edition of the Scotties Tournament of Hearts with title sponsorship by Kruger Products — the longest-standing sponsorship of women’s sports in Canada.
“Celebrating 46 years of the Scotties Tournament of Hearts is a momentous occasion for Kruger Products and highlights our continued commitment to women’s sports in Canada,” said Susan Irving, Chief Marketing Officer at Kruger Products. “We look forward to welcoming and uniting Canada’s top female curlers in Charlottetown and watching them compete for the Team Canada title at the Scotties. As the makers of Scotties, Canada’s #1 facial tissue brand, we take great pride in our ongoing support of the Scotties Tournament of Hearts and our contribution to the development of women’s curling nationwide.”
The stakes in Charlottetown will be high; the 2027 Scotties champion will represent Canada at the 2027 World Women’s Championship (host city, dates, to be announced by World Curling at a later date).
As well, the 2027 Scotties winner will return in 2028 as the defending champion Team Canada.
“The 2027 Scotties Tournament of Hearts will be a major highlight for Prince Edward Island’s sport and tourism calendar,” said Zack Bell, Prince Edward Island’s Minister of Fisheries, Tourism, Sport and Culture. “This is one of Canada’s premier sporting events and it brings an incredible opportunity to showcase our passion for curling, our signature hospitality, and the energy of our capital city in the heart of winter. In 2027, we won’t just be hosting a tournament — we’ll be delivering a celebration of Canadian sport and Island pride at its best. We look forward to working with Curling Canada and our partners to deliver a world-class experience both on and off the ice.”
The Eastlink Centre opened in 1990 and has 3,718 seats, and is the home of the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League’s Charlottetown Islanders.
Besides a stellar history of hosting the biggest and most famous national women’s curling championship in the world, Charlottetown has hosted various other major national championships, including the 1964 Brier (won by B.C.’s Team Lyall Dagg), as well as the 1973 and 1996 Canadian Mixed Championship, the 1958 and 1978 Canadian Junior Men’s Championship, the 1980 Canadian Junior Women’s Championship, the 1976 Canadian Senior Women’s Championship, the 1982 Canadian Senior Men’s Championship and the 2010 Canadian Curling Club Championships.
“The Prince Edward Island curling community is ready to get to work to make the 2027 Scotties Tournament of Hearts a success story on and off the ice,” said Jane DiCarlo, the president of Curl PEI and a participant in the past two editions of the Scotties as the skip of Team Prince Edward Island. “The next year and a half will be put to good use and I know local volunteers and fans will be ready to welcome the entire country to Charlottetown.”
The first entry into the 2027 Scotties will be decided on Feb. 1 in Mississauga, Ont., as the 2026 Scotties Tournament of Hearts winner is decided that day, and will play as Team Canada in Charlottetown.
Ticket and volunteer information will be released in early 2026. Fans are encouraged to sign up on the Curling Canada Collective to receive updates.
TSN/RDS2 , the official broadcast partner of Curling Canada’s Season of Champions, will televise all of the action from Charlottetown.
