As if the prospect of bringing curling’s most iconic event back to St John’s, N.L., wasn’t enough motivation, now we know that the pride of St. John’s, Brad Gushue, will be playing in his final Montana’s Brier.
So when new ticket packages go on sale on Oct. 9 at noon NT for the 2026 Montana’s Brier, presented by AGI, fans will need to act quickly to be at the Mary Brown’s Centre to watch their hometown hero in action for the final time.
The 2026 Montana’s Brier is scheduled for Feb. 27-March 8, and when 4,200 ticket packages went on sale six months ago, it took just two weeks for them to sell out.
Next Thursday, the next wave of tickets will go on sale, and those who’ve signed up on the Curling Canada Collective will get an exclusive pre-sale opportunity on Tuesday, Oct. 7. If you haven’t already signed up, do it now!
Approximately 500 seats per package will be available for purchase:
- Championship Weekend Package ($330-$390) — A single ticket to every draw from Friday, March 6, to Sunday, March 8.
- Opening Weekend Package ($225-$250) — A single ticket to all draws from Friday, Feb. 27, to Sunday, March 1.
- Week-day Package ($75-$124) — A single ticket to all three draws on either Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.
All ticket packages are subject to standard facility and ticket service fees.
Presale purchases for members of the Curling Canada Collective will be online only. When tickets go on sale to the general public, and while supplies last, the packages will be available online at curling.ca/tickets and in-person at the Mary Brown’s Centre box office during regular business hours. Phone inquiries can be made by calling 709-576-7657.
A limited number of remaining seats are expected to be sold as single-draw tickets in February upon the conclusion of provincial and territorial championships, which will decide 14 competing teams in St. John’s.
While Team Gushue naturally will be the focus of most fans in attendance, he’ll have company in the spotlight with reigning Montana’s Brier champions Team Brad Jacobs of Calgary along with the other pre-qualified teams, skipped by Matt Dunstone (Winnipeg) and Mike McEwen (Saskatoon).
The World Famous Patch — site of arguably the most famous victory celebration in the rich history of the Brier, when Team Gushue prevailed on home ice in 2017 — will be just across the street from the Mary Brown’s Centre at the St. John’s Convention Centre.
Speaking of the Patch, there is still a need for volunteers. For information and to register, go to www.curling.ca/2026brier/volunteer.
