M&M Meat Shops Canadian Juniors Update

On top of world-class curling, there are two things that you can always count on when you visit Napanee: great hospitality and even better food!  Both will be front and centre at the M&M Meat Shops Canadian Juniors this February 4-12.

Action from the 2011 M&M Canadian Juniors in Calgary

The host committee have some fun activities planned for those taking in the 9-day event taking place at both the Strathcona Paper Centre and the Napanee & District Curling Club. We’re starting the week off with a bang with an Opening Night Party on February 4 in the BMO Lounge.  This will be your chance to hear a great local band and meet curling fans from across the country. Parents’ Nights are always a big hit at the M&M Meat Shops Canadian Juniors. Three great evenings of fun (Monday – Wednesday) are planned for the BMO Lounge at the Strathcona Paper Centre in Napanee during the championships, each beginning at 9:30 pm.   February 6 is Western Canada night, February 7 is Central Canada night and February 8 is Eastern Canada night. The closing banquet for players, their families and friends is on Friday, February 10th at 7 pm at Napanee District Secondary School.  Tickets – which are always in high-demand – will be on sale for $45 each.  The event is a great end to a competitive week of round-robin action and a refresher for the curlers, as the playoffs begin on Saturday. Amazing live entertainment will also be in store for those attending the championships.  Talented local artists will be featured throughout the week in the BMO Lounge at the Strathcona Paper Centre. Great food will be available throughout the week at both the Strathcona Paper Centre and the Napanee & District Curling Club.  The home-cooked meals, put together by talented curling club members, are a great treat for all those that are lucky enough to get their hands on a meal ticket.  The menu changes every night, so don’t miss this delectable feature all week long at the championships.
