An enthusiastic group of 300 volunteers gathered November 2nd for the final rally leading up to the first Season of Champions event of the year – featuring what could possibly be the finest field curling fans will ever see! It includes our top 14 curling teams – seven men’s and seven women’s – competing for Canada Cup honours and the first two berths in the 2013 Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings. With just over three weeks remaining before the Canada Cup takes to the ice in the Cranbrook Rec Plex, the volunteers came out in full force to meet with their directors, pick up their handbooks and accreditation, and try on their official uniforms for the first time. The rally also gave everyone the opportunity to meet with their co-workers and enjoy refreshments and food, compliments of Boston Pizza. “You Gotta Be There” to join all the volunteers for the excitement of the 2011 Capital One Canada Cup of Curling.  You can get your tickets now by clicking here.
