All 48 Brier competitors will take part in the skills competition where points are awarded for each of six shots: Hit and Stay, Draw the Button, Draw the Port, The Raise, Hit and Roll and Double Takeout. The first round will be held Friday, March 2 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm with free admission for the fans.  Eight qualifiers will move on to play at 11:30 am the next day following the Opening Ceremonies.  A first draw event pass will be required to attend. Ford of Canada will present the winner with a two-year lease on a 2012 Ford Focus Titanium, with an approximate retail value of $13,000.  The runner-up will receive a cheque for $2,000 and the third-place shooter will take home $1,000. Steve Laycock is the only Saskatchewan curler to win Ford Hot Shots at a Brier – Amber Holland came out on top at the 2011 Scotties.  So let’s fill the stands to cheer on Scott Manners, Tyler Lang, Ryan Deis and Mike Armstrong as they compete to keep the big prize right here at home! “You Gotta Be There” for the 2012 Tim Hortons Brier, March 3-11 in the Credit Union Centre.  Great seats are still available for all the excitement – just click here to get yours now.
