MacKenzie leads Islanders to Kamloops

Eddie MacKenzie made his first trip to the Canadian men’s curling championship in 1994, throwing third stones for the Prince Edward Island team skipped by Mike Gaudet. It took 17 years to get back to the national championship, but he’s made the best of his resurgence, skipping the province’s representatives three of the past four years. MacKenzie defended his 2013 title with a victory over top-seeded Jamie Newson, Feb. 9, at the Montague Curling Club in Montague, P.E.I. He will lead teammates Anson Carmody, Tyler MacKenzie and Sean Ledgerwood in the 2014 Tim Hortons Brier, presented by SecurTek, March 1-9 at Kamloops’ Interior Savings Centre. “You Gotta Be There” for the excitement of live championship curling at the 2014 Tim Hortons Brier.
