Skip Jake Walker of Kitchener made it a double for Ontario Sunday at the M&M Meat Shops Canadian Juniors, presented by AMJ Campbell Van Lines, defeating Manitoba (Alex Forrest of Winnipeg), 8-7 in the men’s final at Le Colisée.
Ontario, skipped by Rachel Homan of Ottawa, captured the M&M Meat Shops Canadian junior women’s curling championship Sunday, defeating British Columbia (Dailene Sivertson of Victoria), 9-5 at Le Colisée.
It’ll be Ontario (Rachel Homan) vs British Columbia (Dailene Sivertson of Victoria) and Manitoba (Alex Forrest of Winnipeg) against Ontario (Jake Walker of Kitchener) Sunday in the finals of the M&M Meat Shops Canadian Juniors.
British Columbia (Dailene Sivertson of Victoria) advanced to Saturday night’s semi-final against Northern Ontario with a methodical 6-3 win over Saskatchewan (Trish Paulsen of Saskatoon) in the second tiebreaker at the M&M Meat Shops Canadian Juniors.
British Columbia (Dailene Sivertson of Victoria) made quick work of Alberta (Nadine Chyz of Calgary), 12-1 Saturday morning to advance to a second tiebreaker this afternoon at the M&M Meat Shops Canadian Juniors.
The all-stars and other award winners at the 2010 M&M Meat Shops Canadian Juniors have been announced.
Ontario (Jake Walker of Kitchener) eliminated defending Canadian champion Prince Edward Island (Brett Gallant of Charlottetown) to claim second place and a berth in the men’s semi-final Saturday night at 7:30 pm at the M&M Meat Shops Canadian Juniors, presented by AMJ Campbell Van Lines.
