The Leaside Curling Club, currently transitioning to private management, is seeking a Senior Ice Manager. Located in the heart of Toronto, LCC is a busy eight sheet facility serving 950 members. We currently schedule 24 draws weekly plus popular bonspiels and rentals. Members and guests enjoy a safe, clean and pleasant environment offering a serviced lounge and meeting area. LCC is wheelchair accessible.
The Senior Ice Manager will be directly responsible for managing the day to day and longer term ice making operations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ice installation
- Complete draw changes
- Daily maintenance
- Recruitment, training, and scheduling of ice staff
- Removal of ice and proper storage of rocks
- Facility repairs as needed
All candidates should possess a minimum Level 1 Ice Technician Certification. Level 2 or above Ice Technician Certification (or equivalent expertise and experience installing top-quality curling ice), experience with Icemaker Mistress Control system, will be an asset.
