The Bear on the Hunt!

Team Martin’s 2009 campaign in the TSN spotlight

It was a roller-coaster ride, to say the least, for the famed Kevin Martin foursome in the spring of 2009.

Martin’s legendary Edmonton team — rounded out by vice-skip John Morris, second Marc Kennedy and lead Ben Hebert — experienced the highest highs, with a perfect 13-0 run at the Tim Hortons Brier in Calgary, and the lowest lows, with its stunning loss to Scotland’s David Murdoch in one of the most talked-about games in curling history, the 2009 World Men’s final in Moncton.

This week’s edition of Curling Night on TSN will put those events in the spotlight, as curling fans will be able to watch three Team Martin games on Sunday on TSN1.

Here’s a look at the schedule:

(All times Eastern)

  • 3 p.m. — 2009 Tim Hortons Brier, Page 1-2 playoff, Team Martin (Alberta) vs. Team Howard (Ontario)
  • 6 p.m. — 2009 Tim Hortons Brier gold-medal game, Team Martin (Alberta) vs. Team Stoughton (Manitoba)
  • 9 p.m. — 2009 World Men’s gold-medal game, Team Martin (Canada) vs. Team Murdoch (Scotland)
