Memories of the Roar!

Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings classics featured by TSN

There have only been six editions of the Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings, dating back to its debut in 1997 at Brandon, Man.

But the event that decides Canada’s four-player men’s and women’s teams for the Winter Olympics has delivered countless classic games in this six competitions, no doubt due to the high stakes and accompanying pressure at the Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings.

This week on TSN’s Sunday Sweeps, five memorable games will be shown — four featuring event finals, and a fifth featuring a memorable visit by none other than famed “sportscaster” Ron Burgundy, AKA Will Ferrell, who would throw his first-ever curling stone, and also join the TSN broadcast crew to give his unique take on the game.

Check out Curling Canada’s Twitter feed for information on game participants live-tweeting during the broadcasts.
