The Reklaws at the Patch!

Free concert with The Reklaws kicks off 2024 Montana’s Brier in Regina

Multi-double platinum artists, The Reklaws will get the 2024 Montana’s Brier, presented by AGI, off to a rousing start when they play a free concert at the Original 16 Patch on March 1, it was announced today.

Fresh off their incredibly successful 2023 and the release of their new single “I Grew Up On A Farm” last week, the popular sibling act of Jenna and Stuart Walker will set a partying tone for the most famous national curling championship in the world.

“We’re excited to be a part of the most iconic event in Canadian curling, and we’re looking forward to a great night in Regina at the Montana’s Brier! Get ready to be swept off your feet,” said Jenna Walker.

“Ready to party hardddddd hardddd?!” added Stuart Walker. “We’ve never been to the Patch before but we feel like it’s our kind of place and we can’t
wait.”

The Original 16 Patch, with a capacity of 4,200, will be located at the Viterra International Trade Centre at the REAL District, a short indoor walk away from the action on the ice at the Brandt Centre.

The concert, which is being sponsored by Montana’s BBQ & Bar, Great Western Brewing and Access Storage, will kick off shortly after the conclusion of the 6 p.m. opening draw of the 2024 Montana’s Brier. Admission will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

“We already knew that the 2024 Montana’s Brier in Regina was going to be a great show, as the first Brier in partnership with Montana’s BBQ & Bar, but the Reklaws will be taking it to another level on opening night,” said Nolan Thiessen, Chief Executive Officer of Curling Canada. “We’re grateful for the support of our partners at Montana’s BBQ & Bar, Great Western Brewing and Access Storage to make this possible and give curling fans in Regina a memorable way to kick off the Montana’s Brier.”

The Reklaws hit the national music scene in a big way when their 2018 debut single “Long Live the Night” became the most-streamed song produced by Canadian country acts.

Since then, the Reklaws have been nominated for eight JUNO awards, won eight Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) Awards, and hosted the 2023 CCMA Awards Show, showcasing their two double platinum, eight platinum and 13 gold singles. Their new single, “I Grew Up On A Farm”, dropped last Friday.
