Three new faces will bring their perspectives to Curling Canada’s Board of Governors following votes at Saturday’s Annual General Meeting.
The national governing body for the sport of curling held its virtual AGM on Saturday, with Canada’s 13 Member Associations along with invited guests speaking about the past season, in addition to conducting elections to finalize the Board of Governors for the 2026-27 season.
The first-year governors will be Dale MacMillan of Ottawa, David Blair of Woodbridge, Ont., and Charlotte Wang of Toronto. MacMillan and Blair will take on four-year terms with the Board of Governors, while Wang will have a one-year term, taking the place of Roselle Gonsalves of Porters Lake, N.S., who is leaving the Board for her new position with the World Curling Board of Directors, to which she was elected earlier this month.
One other election saw Jennifer Howard of Courtice, Ont., re-elected to the Board for another four-year term.
Besides Gonsalves, Ray Baker of Dauphin, Man., and outgoing Chair Teri Palynchuk of Nanaimo, B.C., are departing the Board after completing their terms.
Howard, MacMillan, Blair and Wang will join fellow Board members Rob Belliveau of Halifax, Jeremy Woo of Winnipeg, Scott Hindle of Ottawa, Jody Fisher Meli of Lethbridge, Alta., Rémy St-Pierre of Québec City and Kerry Tarasoff of Saskatoon.
A new chair for the 2026-27 season will be elected by the Governors some time in early October.
