Welcome to the Festival of Rings!

The Festival of Rings goal is to attract new curlers and fans from our many diverse communities and cultures, and to provide meaningful volunteer opportunities for those passionate about growing the sport, through the creation of an exciting event that will showcase this diversity through activities, music, art, and curling. 

Festival of Rings is open to the general public and is free to attend

Where is it?

The Festival of Rings will take place all around the Canadian Curling Trials venues. Be sure to check out Rogers Square, where there will be many fun activities for your participation!

THE MYSTERY OF THE TIPI RING – FESTIVAL HUB - ROOM #109

Join us for a learning odyssey. Discover the power and mystery of tipi rings. Through immersive storytelling, explore a mystical tipi design, learn how it was gifted, and uncover its connection to Mi’kmaq ancestral lands.

5:00 p.m. – Smudging ceremony – everyone welcome!
5:05 p.m. – Welcoming remarks & introduction.
5:20 p.m. – Exclusive video presentation of tipi design.
5: 35 p.m. – Joe Eagle Tail Feathers – Oral presentation on the tipi ring and its connection to the festival.
6:00 p.m. – Christopher Grignard – Q & A facilitation.
BONUS – Session participants are invited to continue the conversation. An additional video from the Blackfoot Odyssey series may be screened.

EVERGREEN FESTIVAL – HALIFAX WATERFRONT

Evergreen Festival is a 4-week-long outdoor winter celebration of Nova Scotian food, spirits, craft, art, and memorable experiences.

Our elevated curing rinks will be there for you to try. Come visit us on the waterfront in the winter sport zone!
