Canada’s golden men’s curlers coming to the Brier

Haligonians are invited to the Halifax Metro Centre to meet Team Canada’s men’s curling Olympic gold medallists; Kevin Martin, John Morris, Marc Kennedy and Ben Hebert. Team Canada is inviting the public to share in their Olympic victory as they help kick off the 2010 Tim Hortons Brier Canadian Men’s Curling Championship with an autograph session on Friday, March 5, 2010 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. local time on the Concourse Level of the Halifax Metro Centre. Along with the chance to meet Canada’s golden boys, attendees will receive a token souvenir (while supplies last) and be invited to stay and watch the Ford Hot Shots preliminaries where Brad Gushue, Glenn Howard, Jeff Stoughton and all players competing in the Tim Hortons Brier square off in a pre-event skills contest. The eventual winner receives a two-year lease on a Ford vehicle following the final round on Saturday. Both the Team Canada autograph session and Ford Hot Shots competition are free to the public. Members of the media are invited to attend a press conference with Team Canada on Friday, March 5 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Halifax Metro Centre in the media lounge area at ice level (via Carmichael St. entrance). The excitement continues on Saturday, March 6 when Team Canada will be featured live in an ‘Up Close and Personal’ interview from 10:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. at ice level of the Halifax Metro Centre.
